Cassidy & Hudnall to Serve as 2021 Women's & Men's Tennis Team Captains

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College tennis programs have named seniors Kristen Cassidy and Mason Hudnall as women's and men's team captains for the 2021 season.

Cassidy, who was also a team captain last year, was named to the Landmark All-Conference Second Team in 2018, and she is a two-time member of the Landmark Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll. Cassidy has a 17-7 mark in singles action and a 22-10 record in doubles action during her career.

"I can't say enough good things about Kristen and the leader she has been for our women's tennis program," stated Director of Tennis Aaron Wilf, who is entering his third season leading the Hounds. She sets an amazing example for everyone around her both in the classroom and on the tennis court. Kristen has flourished during her time here at Moravian and she has helped lead this program to new heights."

Hudnall, who is in his second year as team captain, is a two-time member of the Landmark Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll, and he was selected to the Landmark Conference Spring All-Sportsmanship Team in 2018. Hudnall has recorded 14 singles victories and 13 doubles wins during his career.

"Mason has been a great student-athlete during his time here at Moravian," commented Wilf. "He's the ultimate team player and always has a positive attitude on and off the court. We love having Mason as a part of this team as he's meant so much to our program as well as our school."

The men's team is slated to begin its 2021 season on Saturday, March 20 with a non-conference match at Gwynedd Mercy University beginning at 12:00 p.m. while the women's squad will start the year on Sunday, March 21 when both teams host Immaculata University in a pair of non-conference matches beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Hoffman Courts.
