BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The next non-coaching staff member in the Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation's Get to Know series is our Assistant Athletic Trainer Jessica Holmes, who is in her second year with the Greyhounds.
How did you get into your field? I have always been an athlete with an interest in sports medicine. I have worked as a personal trainer, nutrition coach, and in a physical therapy clinic.
What is your favorite part of working at Moravian College? DOG FRIENDLY CAMPUS!!
What is your favorite place on campus? Sideline on gameday
What is your most memorable moment at Moravian? I have only been here since January 2020 so there are not that many memories yet. But I had a great time traveling with the softball team and coaching staff last spring. It helps the team won 9 out of 10 games too!!
What is the best piece of advice you've been given? Don't sweat the small stuff
What have you done more of since March that you wouldn't have if sports had not been postponed? Unfortunately, there hasn't been much we have been able to do since sports were postponed. But I have spent more time reaching out to friends and loved ones and staying connected, usually an athletic schedule means little time for other people.
If you weren't in your current position, what would you be doing? Teaching
Tell us something about yourself that would surprise most people. I played rugby in college, and on a women's league in Boston
