BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation is happy to announce the non-traditional competition opportunities being provided to the fall sports of field hockey, men's and women's soccer and women's volleyball this spring after the programs had their traditional fall seasons cancelled by COVID-19.
In conjunction with the Landmark Conference, each team will participate in four contests against Landmark Conference opponents with two contests at home and two on the road beginning on March 13 and running through April 2.
The Landmark Conference Athletic Directors determined that all of the contests are considered scrimmages and will not count as official NCAA or Landmark Conference games, Landmark standings will not be kept and that statistics will not be recorded. The athletic directors also stated that field hockey and men's and women's soccer will play their normal timed contests including overtimes if needed while women's volleyball matches will consist of all five sets instead of best of five.
The current conference policy is that no fans will be allowed to attend the contests, even at outdoor venues. Moravian plans to video stream all of the home contests at www.landmarknetwork.tv/moravian/ and all Landmark Conference schools should be streaming the matches as well, which will be available at the same link or at www.landmarknetwork.tv.
