59 Greyhounds Named 2020 Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll

TOWSON, Md. --- The Landmark Conference announced its 2020 Fall Academic Honor Roll selections today, with 525 student-athletes receiving recognition including 59 from Moravian College. The Honor Roll recognizes all fall student-athletes who have reached sophomore standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher.

Of the 525 student-athletes, a total of 298 have received the recognition at least once, and an impressive 102 seniors have earned the honor all three semesters they have been eligible.

The spring academic honor roll will be announced late May or early June. The honor roll will include all spring sports as well as men's and women's basketball, men's and women's swimming & diving, and men's and women's indoor track & field.

Moravian had student-athletes from all six of its fall teams that compete in the conference with the women's soccer program leading the way with 18 honorees. The women's cross country and men's soccer teams each had 11 selections while the field hockey squad had 10 student-athletes selected. The men's cross country program registered seven honorees followed by the women's volleyball squad with two.

The women's soccer team placed seniors Oonagh Breen, Sara Cassel, Cat Cole, Ashley Hutchinson, Val Monaco, Siobhan O'Sullivan-Evangelista, Alexis Peploe, Kylie Rayher and Skylar Vaughan, juniors Alexa Brown, Megan Chesney, Morgan Covart and Hannah McHugh and sophomores Caroline Doyle, Nora McDonagh, Sydney Steere, Marissa Werner and Jess Yanovitch on the Academic Honor Roll. Breen, Cole, Hutchinson, Monaco and Vaughn are all three-time honorees.

The women's cross country squad placed seniors Grace Gilbert, Nora Grimm, Alison Nicolosi, Natalie Novotni and Molly Talarico, juniors Hannah Flaven, Emma Marion, Rachael McCoach and Natalie Stabilito and sophomore Rachel Byrne and Peyton Herbst on the Academic Honor Roll. It was the third selection for Gilbert, Grimm, Novotni and Talatico.

The men's soccer squad program had seniors Alec Aloia, Ethan Blakely, Michael Bone, Michael Feeley and Riley McHugh, juniors Kaiden Chinchar, Andrew Epsaro, Mason LeSage, Anthony Nagy and Safa Turkdonmez and sophomore Dave Steinbach named to the Academic Honor Roll. Blakely, Feeley and McHugh all earned the honor for a third time.

The field hockey squad placed seniors Mae Dienes, Talea Gordon, Nicole Grayuski and Ashley Kunsman, junior Emily Brandt and sophomores Maddie Call, Mackenzie Jakobsen, Elise Keeney, Emily Wells and Brooke Wilkinson on the Academic Honor Roll. Dienes, Gordon, Grayuski and Kunsman are three-time Academic Honor Roll selections.

The men's cross country team had senior Peter Gingrich, juniors Brad Clemson, Dominic DeRafelo, Richard Glennon and Shane Houghton and sophomores Liam Duffy and Christian Jancsarics each being honored. Gingrich earned a spot on the Academic Honor Roll for the third straight fall.

The women's volleyball team had juniors Kirah Dreisbach and Renee Mapa named to the Academic Honor Roll.
