HUNTINGDON, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's soccer team rallied from a 1-0 deficit to earn a 2-1 victory at Juniata College in the 2018 Landmark Conference opener for both schools Saturday.
The Eagles scored in the 30th minute for a 1-0 lead, and the score remained that way through the rest of the first half.
Greyhounds' freshman midfielder Anthony Nagy would even the score in the 70th minute with an unassisted goal, his third goal of the season. Moravian moved in front in the 79th minute when freshman midfielder Safa Turkdonmez found the back of the net for his first collegiate goal.
Moravian sophomore goalie Michael Bone had two saves in the contest as the Blue and Grey improved to 4-2-2 overall and 1-0 in Landmark Conference action under the direction of first-year Head Coach Bob Wilkinson. The Blue and Grey finished the match with an 11-7 edge in shots.
The Hounds are slated to return to the pitch on Saturday, September 29 when the squad hosts Susquehanna University in a Landmark Conference match beginning at 1:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field.
