Greyhounds Fall to Lebanon Valley

Junior forward Nicole Snyder scored a pair of goals including the game-winner in the 14th minute of the contest, and she added an assist to lead the Lebanon Valley College women's soccer team to a 4-0 victory over visiting Moravian College in non-conference action.

Snyder took a misplayed header and scored just inside the post to give the Dutchmen a lead. Just 1:48 later, sophomore midfielder/forward Lindi Crist headed in a crossing pass from freshman midfielder Amanda Douglass to push the LVC lead to 2-0. Senior midfielder/forward Sara Drabenstadt redirected a wide shot from Snyder in the 18th minute for another Lebanon Valley College. Snyder finished the scoring in the 72nd minute off of passes from Crist and sophomore midfielder/forward Katie Deardorff.

The Dutchmen had a 20-2 advantage in shots and an 8-3 edge in corner kicks in the match. Moravian junior goalie Tori Korona had seven saves in her first start of the season while LVC senior keeper Sami Young did not face a shot on goal in the match.

The Greyhounds continue their four game road-trip on Wednesday, September 21, when they travel to Elizabethtown College in non-conference action at 7:00 p.m.

Moravian returns home on Saturday, October 1, when they host conference foe Drew University. The game is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.
