Greyhounds to Host F&M for Homecoming on Saturday, October 24

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College football team opens a three-game home stand at Rocco Calvo Field this Saturday, October 24 when the Greyhounds welcome Franklin & Marshall College for a Centennial Conference game kicking off at 1:05 p.m. with the contest being televised live by Service Electric TV-2 Sports.

The Greyhounds won their sixth straight road game and improved to 5-1 on the season last Saturday with a 21-14 victory at Susquehanna University. Junior running back Chris Negron reached the 100-yard mark for the 11th time in his career last weekend and is just five yards shy of becoming the third player in school history to reach 2,700 career yards. Sophomore running back Eli Redmond is 12 yards from becoming the 24th player in school history to reach 1,000 career yards, and the last time Moravian had a pair of 1,000-yard rushers in the backfield at the same time was in 1976.

The Hounds' defense ranks first in the Centennial Conference in pass defense efficiency with a rating of 98.5, and the unit is also first in opponent third down conversions, allowing just a 28.7 conversion rate (27-of-94). Offensively, Moravian is fourth in scoring offense at 31.8 points per game, and the Greyhounds have scored 64 of their 191 points in the fourth quarter and earned two of their five wins in the final 10 minutes of action.
