Greyhounds Fall on the Road at Scranton

SCRANTON, Pa. --- The Moravian College field hockey team fell to The University of Scranton, 3-1, in Landmark Conference action Saturday afternoon.

The Royals jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first minute of action, and Scranton scored again in the 32nd minute to head into the intermission with a 2-0 lead. The Royals extended that edge to 3-0 just 36 seconds into the second half. The Greyhounds would break onto the scoreboard in the 55th minute when junior forward Sara Cruz netted her team-leading fifth goal of the season when she knocked in a loose ball in the circle.

Hounds' sophomore goalie Ashley Kunsman recorded ten saves in the contest.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, October 10 in a Landmark Conference match at Elizabethtown College beginning at 4:00 p.m.
