BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College softball team has its 40-game schedule set for the 2017 season with the first contests taking place on Sunday, March 5 in Florida.
Following a ten-game spring break trip to the National Training Center in Clemont, Florida, the Hounds are home for a pair doubleheaders with the home opener on Tuesday, March 14 versus Gwynedd Mercy University at 3:00 p.m. and the Landmark Conference opener on Saturday, March 18 versus The Catholic University of America at 1:00 p.m. at Blue & Grey Field.
The four straight home games match the longest stretch of the year for the Hounds, who are back-and-forth off of the road all season. Moravian has home doubleheaders scheduled with Wilkes University on March 30, Juniata College on April 1, rival Muhlenberg College on April 13, Drew University on April 15, the College of Staten Island on April 22 and Hunter College on April 23.
The Landmark Conference Tournament will be played on May 5-7 at the highest seed with the Tournament Champion earning an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
