Alexis Wright Named Landmark Conference Player of the Week

TOWSON, Md. – Sophomore forward Alexis Wright of the Moravian College women's basketball squad was named the Landmark Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week announced Monday. This is the third time Wright has earned the honor this season.

Wright led the Greyhounds to a 2-0 record over conference opponents last week after averaging 17.5 points and 9.5 rebounds to go with her four blocks and four steals.

Wright put up 19 points, seven boards, three blocks, three steals and two assists in a 73-51 victory over Drew on Wednesday. She then recorded her ninth double-double in a 62-59 defeat of nationally-ranked No. 17 The Catholic University of America. Wright tallied 16 points and 12 rebounds in the contest.

On the season, Wright is averaging 16.8 points and 12.1 rebounds per contest to go with her 32 blocks, 30 steals and 16 assists.

Moravian returns to the court on tonight as they host The College of New Jersey in a non-conference battle. The game is set for 6 p.m.
