Women's Basketball Opens 2018-19 Schedule on November 8 on the Road

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's basketball team is set to begin its 2018-19 schedule of 25 games on Thursday, November 8 when the Greyhounds travel to Albright College for a non-conference contest tipping off at 7:00 p.m.

The Hounds, who look for their 18th consecutive postseason appearance under the direction of 32-year Head Coach Mary Beth Spirk, will host Penn State Lehigh Valley on Wednesday, November 14 in the Blue and Grey's first home game of the season. Moravian then heads to Kean University for a tournament on November 16 and 17 with an opening round showdown with University of Lynchburg (Va.). The Greyhounds host DeSales University on November 20 in the annual Tuesday before Thanksgiving game between the schools, and the Hounds finish November with a road trip to Immaculata University on the 28th.

December brings Moravian back to Johnston Hall for the start of the Landmark Conference season as Elizabethtown College heads to Bethlehem on December 1. The Blue and Grey play twice more before finals with games at The College of New Jersey on December 3 and home versus Gwynedd Mercy University on December 8. After finals are finished, the Hounds will play rival Muhlenberg College on December 15 before heading home for a brief holiday break. Moravian finishes the month with the Roosevelt's 21st Greyhound Classic in Johnston Hall on December 30-31 that includes an opening round game with Delaware Valley University.

The Blue and Grey start the new year and a string of 13 straight Landmark Conference contests with a two-game road trip to the Catholic University of America on January 5 and The University of Scranton on January 9. Moravian comes home to host Juniata College on January 12 and Drew University on January 16 before heading back on the road to Goucher College on January 19 and Susquehanna University on January 23 to complete the first half of the Landmark Conference round robin schedule. The Greyhounds have two more games in January as they host Catholic on January 26 and head to Drew on January 30.

The Hounds are scheduled to play three of their five games in February at home although the month starts with a trip to Juniata on February 2. The Greyhounds will host Scranton on February 6 before playing their annual Alumni Game and Play 4Kay contest against Goucher in Johnston Hall on February 9. The regular season finishes up with a game versus Susquehanna on February 13 before the final trip to Elizabethtown to end the conference schedule.

The 2019 Landmark Conference Tournament begins on Wednesday, February 20 with the top two teams in the four-team field hosting semifinal games. The conference championship game is slated for February 23 with the conference champion receiving an automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Division III Tournament.
