Diana Feldmann Named to Capital One NCAA Division III Academic All-America Second Team

TOWSON, Md. --- Senior defender Diana Feldmann (York, PA/Central York HS) of the Moravian College women's soccer team was named to the 2011 Capital One Division III Academic All-America Women's Soccer Second Team announced Tuesday.

Feldmann becomes Moravian's 36th Capital One Academic All-American and the 31st in the last 19 years. She is one of 33 student-athletes to make one of the three Academic All-America teams in Division III and the only Landmark Conference student-athlete honored.

In Feldmann's four years at Moravian, she played in 79 games and tallied four goals and four assists and helped lead Moravian to four postseason berths including the 2008 Landmark Conference Championship and a trip to the NCAA Division III Championship tournament. Feldmann was named to the Landmark All-Conference First Team in 2009 and 2011 and Second Team in 2010, the Landmark Conference All-Academic Team and Landmark Conference Honor Roll in 2009, 2010 and 2011. She is also a three-time member of the Capital One Academic All-District selection including the First Team in 2010 and 2011.

To be eligible for Capital One Academic All-America® accolades, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.30 grade-point average, be a sophomore, junior or senior and be a starter or significant reserve. The award is voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), and this is the first year the program has been broken down into Division I, Division II, Division III and College Division (NAIA, junior colleges and Canadian schools).
