Junior Toni Korona Named Landmark Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

MADISON, N.J. – Junior goalkeeper Tori Korona (Easton, Pa./Easton) of the Moravian College women's soccer team was named the Landmark Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week of October 31st. Korona helped the Greyhounds earn their fifth straight postseason berth.

Last week, Korona tallied two saves and only allowed one goal in a 1-1 draw versus Susquehanna University to get the Greyhounds the one point they needed. Earlier in the week, she held York (Pa.) College scoreless for 105 minutes before giving up a goal in double overtime.

Korona has come on as of late due to an injury to Genevieve Chaleff. Korona has a 1.85 goals against average in 583 minutes, including one shutout.

Moravian travels to The University of Scranton Wednesday, November 2nd for a Landmark Conference Semifinal match. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m.
