June 11, 2021BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Senior wide receiver/punter Nick Petros of the Moravian College football squad has been named to the 2020-21 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Football Team for NCAA Division III schools in District IV.

Moravian Announces 2021 Senior Athlete Award Winners
May 06, 2021BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College honored its 2021 senior student-athletes with its Senior Athletic Recognition at Rocco Calvo Field Thursday afternoon. Women’s tennis standout Emma Angle and women’s track & field/cross country runner Natalie Novotni were selected as the Co-Outstanding Senior Female Athletes while football player Nick Petros and men’s lacrosse student-athlete Jimmy Schicke were honored with the Co-Outstanding Senior Male Athletes. The Blue & Grey Scholar Athlete awards were presented to Novotni and men’s track & field/cross country runner Peter Gingrich. The H.T.D. Gillespie Award for outstanding service to Moravian’s athletics program was presented former Head Athletic Trainer Bob Ward.

Five Hounds Named to 2021 National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society
April 14, 2021IRVING, Texas --- Five senior Moravian College football players – defensive lineman Sean Agar, defensive back Jackson Buskirk, wide receiver Nick Petros, offensive lineman Joe Solis and defensive lineman PJ Weierbach have been named to the 2021 National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society for their excellence in academics. The group gives Moravian a total of 58 NFF Hampshire Honor Society members in 15 years.

Moravian Honors 71 Student-Athletes with Chi Alpha Sigma National Athlete Honor Society Induction

Get to Know Football Student-Athlete Jalen Richardson
February 04, 2021BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The next current student-athlete in Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation Get to Know Series is football student-athlete Jalen Richardson '21. Richardson has made 70 career tackles for the Greyhounds as a defensive back, and he has added 15 passes defended, three interceptions, two fumble recoveries and a blocked kick in 21 career games. He has also returned nine kickoffs for 147 yards.

Get to Know Former Football Student-Athlete Charlie Heidecker '74
January 18, 2021BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The next alum in the Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation's Get to Know Series is former football student-athlete Charlie Heidecker from the Class of 1974. Heidecker was named to the All-Middle Atlantic Conference First Team as an offensive lineman in 1973, and he also came back to serve as an assistant coach for the Greyhounds.

Get to Know Former Football Student-Athlete Jalen Snyder-Scipio '17
December 23, 2020BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The next alum in the Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation's Get to Know Series is former football student-athlete Jalen Snyder-Scipio from the Class of 2017. Snyder-Scipio had 159 receptions for 1,803 yards in his career to go with 16 touchdowns. He is still the school record holder in receptions and ranks fourth in both yardage and touchdowns. Snyder-Scipio was selected to the Centennial All-Conference Second Team in 2015.

Women’s basketball standout Maddie Capuano and women’s track & field/cross country runner Carly Danoski were named the Co-Outstanding Senior Female Athletes while baseball player Ian Csencsits and men’s track & field/cross country runner Greg Jaindl were honored with the Co-Outstanding Senior Male Athletes. The Blue & Grey Scholar Athlete awards were presented to Danoski and football player Sal Pagano.

Moravian Announces 2021 Hall of Fame Inductees and Robert Martin Herbstman Award Winner
August 03, 2020BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Michael Abbate ’02; Stephen Brandafi ’40; Beresford “Ozzie” Brown ’10; Anna Heim Hilton ’10; Elizabeth Paly ’08; Stephanie Seaman Kennedy ’06 and Nathaniel Tussey ’08 make up the class of 2021 that will be inducted into the Moravian College Athletic Hall of Fame. The 2007-08 men and women’s track & field teams will also be inducted while Jon Otis ’79 will receive the Robert Martin Herbstman Award.

Moravian College Announces Plans for 2020 Fall Sports
July 31, 2020BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Today, Moravian College announced that in the absence of a fall sports schedule, in both the Landmark Conference and Centennial Conference (football), the Athletic Department will work with other colleges and universities to schedule scrimmages for teams and players interested in competing in their respective sports.

Moravian to Air 2020 Senior Athlete Awards Video on August 16
July 30, 2020BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College Department of Athletics and Recreation will celebrate the accomplishments of their 2020 senior class with a virtual celebration on Sunday, August 16 with the Senior Athlete Awards show as a video beginning at 6:00 p.m. The banquet, which is typically hosted in May, was postponed because of COVID-19 and due to the continued pandemic has been moved to a virtual event.

Centennial Conference (Moravian College Football) Fall Sports Update
July 07, 2020LANCASTER, Pa. --- Moravian College competes in the Centennial Conference for football and the Landmark Conference for all other sports. Today, the Centennial Conference made an announcement regarding all fall sports, while the Landmark Conference continues to meet with officials at member schools to determine their course of action for student-athletes in the fall.
