BOYDS, Md. --- The Moravian University men's swimming team had two individuals turn in personal bests on Day 1 of the program's first Landmark Conference Championship in their inaugural season on Friday. The first session of the day began at 10:00 a.m. and final qualifiers competed in the 6:00 p.m. session.
How it Happened
- Freshman Harrison Ziegler swam in the 500-yard freestyle event and turned in a time of 4:53.58, over 17 seconds better than his seed time to place 13th and earned a spot in the B Heat of the Finals session
- Freshman Billy Stergianopoulos posted a time of 26.12 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle. That time gave Stergianopoulos a PR by .10 seconds
- During the B Final session of the 500-yard freestyle, Ziegler finished third in his heat and 11th overall with a time of 4:50.64 to earn himself another PR performance
- Freshman Davin Glynn did not compete today but will make his Landmark championship debut on Saturday
- The Greyhounds finished with a total of six points after Day 1
