Two Greyhound Men Set Personal Bests on Day 2 of Landmark Swimming Championships

BOYDS, Md. --- The Moravian University men's swimming team had two individuals turn in personal bests after Day 2 of the program's first Landmark Conference Championship in their inaugural season on Saturday. The first session of the day began at 10:00 a.m. and final qualifiers competed in the 5:30 p.m. session. 

How it Happened

  • Freshmen Harrison Ziegler and Davin Glynn both swam in the 200-yard freestyle event in the morning session with Ziegler posting over a four-second PR with a time of 1:50.99 and to be seeded in 10th and Glynn turned in a PR time of 1:53.8 to place 16th and earn a spot in the Finals session
  • Freshman Billy Stergianopoulos completed the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:11.59 for a PR by 2.76 seconds
  • Both Ziegler and Glynn swam in the B Final session of the 200-yard freestyle with Ziegler finishing second in his heat and 10th overall with a time of 1:49.62, just .20 seconds behind the leader, to earn himself another PR performance. Glynn turned in a time of 1:51.21, trimming over two seconds for another personal best in the event
  • Stergianopoulos competed in the B Final session in the 100-yard backstroke and finished in a time of 1:13.10
  • The Greyhounds finished with a total of 18 points after the second day of the Landmark Conference Championships
