BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's tennis team earned its 10th win of the season Friday afternoon with a 9-0 sweep of Gwynedd Mercy University in non-conference action.
The Greyhounds, now 10-6 in 2018-19, and the Griffins moved the match indoors to Timothy Breidegam Fieldhouse due to rain, and the teams also played a single pro-set in all nine matches with the contest indoors. Moravian won all three doubles contests by scores of 8-1 with a victory by senior Isaac Schefer and freshman Daniel Salimnejad at first doubles, a win by sophomores Mason Hudnall and Sean Kearns at second doubles and a triumph by junior Christopher Csencsits and freshman Neil Guarino at third doubles.
Senior Peter Demyan posted an 8-0 victory at first singles while Salimnejad won by the same score at second singles. Senior Austin Grace also had an 8-0 triumph at third singles while Hudnall won 8-1 at four singles, Kearns was victorious by an 8-2 score at fifth singles and Guarino had an 8-1 win at sixth singles.
The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, April 13 in a Landmark Conference match at The University of Scranton scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
