HAVERFORD, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's track & field squad finished eight of nine teams scoring at the Keogh Invitational hosted by Haverford College on Saturday in the Greyhounds' final meet before the 2019 Landmark Conference Indoor Championships.
The Hounds scored 30 points led by junior Greg Jaindl, who set his second school record in eight days by winning the mile run with a time of 4:18.18. Freshman Dominic DeRafelo was fifth in the mile in a PR of 4:30.51 while sophomore Peter Gingrich finished eighth with a PR time of 4:32.39.
Junior Justin Beasley-Turner placed third in the 800-meter run in a time of 1:57.04, and he was followed by senior Devon Harris in eighth at 2:00.58 while junior Devon Fogel had a PR in the event at 2:05.59. The Greyhounds also had three PRs in the 3,000-meter run with freshman Shane Houghton running a 9:24.22, freshman Michael Lerch recording a 9:44.49 and sophomore Billy Milburn recording a 10:20.63.
The Greyhounds will head to Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania for the 2019 Landmark Conference Indoor Championships on Saturday, February 23 with action beginning at 10:00 a.m. The men's team will be looking for its 10th straight and 11th overall Landmark championship.
