Houghton Wins Race as Greyhounds Place 2nd at the Moravian Invitational

NORTHAMPTON, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's cross country team hosted the Moravian University Invitational that took place at Bicentennial Park on Friday evening with the Greyhounds earning second place of seven squads with 64 points.

How It Happened

  • Senior Shane Houghton was the first to complete the 6,000-meter course, finishing in a time of 19:03.3 to finish first of the 94 runners.
  • Junior Liam Duffy and freshmen Owen Nahf finished below the 20-minute mark, with a Duffy running a 19:39.6 for 11th place and Nahf finished 12th overall with a time of 19:44.1.
  • Senior Dominic DeRafelo was he next Greyhound to cross the finish line, doing so at 20:06.8.
  • Freshman Jake Farrell and sophomore Josh Mangini rounded out the scoring for Moravian, with Farrell turning in a time of 30:31.6 for 32nd overall and Mangini finishing 34th with a time of 30:38.9.
