TOWSON, Md. --- The Landmark Conference and Moravian University are excited to begin its fall conference competition this weekend after a year-and-a-half hiatus.
This weekend's matches will be the first time the eight Landmark fall sports teams have faced one another in an official game capacity since 2019.
The league office recognizes the excitement surrounding our fall sports teams and we want to remind our fans of the expectations we have in place when attending a game at each of our eight institutions.
These are the expectations we have for all attendees when attending a Landmark contest:
- Cheer for the Players – Thank you for coming out and supporting our students
- Be Respectful to Everyone – Players, coaches, officials, game staff, and other fans
- Be Kind to Our Officials – We are thankful for their efforts and commitment to the conference
- Watch Your Language – There is no tolerance for abusive, hostile, or offensive remarks
- Refrain From Using Alcohol, Drugs, Tobacco Products, and Vaping
- Stay in Designated Spectator Areas
"The Landmark Conference is thrilled to be back in action this fall after a trying year-and-a-half," said Commissioner, Katie Boldvich. "With some of our institutions welcoming fans back to campus for the first time in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference wanted to take the time to re-emphasize our commitment to sportsmanship and providing a hostile-free environment for all our participants and spectators. We are excited about the year ahead and thank everyone for their cooperation in creating an exciting and positive game-day atmosphere."
As an NCAA Division III conference, the Landmark is dedicated to offering participation in highly competitive athletics programs while retaining the full spectrum of college life with an opportunity for broad-based education and success. The conference's guiding principles provide a blueprint for delivering that experience, and key among those principles is a commitment to promoting sportsmanship through fair and respectful conduct towards all participants and supporters during events.
