68 Greyhounds Selected To 2021 Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll

TOWSON, Md. --- The Landmark Conference announced its 2021 Fall Academic Honor Roll selections today, with 543 student-athletes receiving recognition including 68 from Moravian University. The Honor Roll recognizes all fall student-athletes who have reached sophomore standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher.

Of the 543 student-athletes, a total of 309 have received the recognition more than once, and an impressive 132 seniors have earned the honor all three semesters they have been eligible.

The spring academic honor roll will be announced in late May or early June. The honor roll will include all spring sports as well as men's and women's basketball, men's and women's swimming & diving, and men's and women's indoor track & field.

Moravian had student-athletes from all six of its fall teams that compete in the conference with the men's soccer program leading the way with 18 honorees. The women's soccer team had 14 selections while the men's cross country squad had 12 student-athletes selected. The field hockey program registered 10 honorees followed by the women's cross country squad with eight and the women's volleyball team with six.

The men's soccer squad program had graduate student Michael Bone, seniors Alec Aloia, Kaiden Chinchar, Andrew Epsaro, Andrew Goodolf, Ben Ilkhanoff, Mason LeSage, Alex Meci, Anthony Nagy and Safa Turkdonmez, juniors Dan Apryasz, Quinn Middleton, Kyle Smilon and Dave Steinbach and sophomores Daniel Babbert, Donald Gibbs, Vito Leone and Reed Sturza named to the Academic Honor Roll. Aloia, Chinchar, Nagy and Turkdonmez all earned the honor for a third time.

The women's soccer team placed seniors Alexa Brown, Megan Chesney, Morgan Covart and Hannah McHugh, juniors Caroline Doyle, Emma Lenthe and Jess Yanovitch and sophomores Olivia Buckley, Paige Harrison, Payce Korpics, Juliet Lardieri, Lauren Latchford, Kiara Morales and Alexa Vail on the Academic Honor Roll. Brown, Chesney, Covart and McHugh are all three-time honorees.

The men's cross country team had graduate student Peter Gingrich, seniors Brad Clemson, Dominic DeRafelo, Richard Glennon, Shane Houghton and Michael Lerch, juniors Liam Duffy and Christian Jancsarics and sophomores Liam Fitting, Casey Frank, Josh Mangini and Brendon Ward each being honored. Gingrich earned a spot on the Academic Honor Roll for the four straight fall, while Clemson, DeRafelo, Glennon and Houghton were honored for a third consecutive year.

The field hockey squad placed senior Emily Brandt, juniors Maddie Call, Mackenzie Jakobsen, Elise Keeney, Emily Wells, Maddie Wickel and Brooke Wilkinson and sophomores Sarah Bietka, Bekkah Kehoe and Hanna Leto on the Academic Honor Roll.

The women's cross country squad placed graduate student Alison Nicolosi, seniors Mackenzie Heitz, Emma Marion and Natalie Stabilito, juniors Rachel Byrne and Peyton Herbst and sophomores Emma Garchinsky and Pia Mazzella DiBosco on the Academic Honor Roll. It was the third selection for Marion, Nicolosi and Stabilito.

The women's volleyball team had seniors Kirah Dreisbach and Renee Mapa and sophomore Sophie Bauer, Allie Ludlow, Grace Silfani and Emily Szy named to the Academic Honor Roll. Dreisbach and Mapa are both three-time honorees.
