Greyhounds Finish 25th at Inter-Regional Border Battle Hosted by Rowan

LOGAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. --- The Moravian University men's cross country finished 25th of 34 teams in the Inter-Regional Border Battle hosted by Rowan University at the Gloucester Country DREAM Park Saturday morning.

How It Happened

  • Senior Shane Houghton led the Greyhounds with a time of 26:04.6 to finish 32nd of the 286 runners in the 8,000-meter championship race
  • Sophomore Josh Mangini was 122nd in a time of 27:51.2 while freshman Nathan Hajel took 168th in a time of 28:29.9
  • Senior Dominic DeRafelo finished in 173rd in 28:37.2 while senior Brad Clemson rounded out the Moravian top five in 201st with a time of 29:17.4
  • Freshman Geoffrey Kleinberg placed 208th in a time of 29:17.4 while graduate student Peter Gingrich was 216th in 29:37.3 and freshman Jake Farrell placed 230th in 30:05.8 to round out the Moravian runners in the championship race
  • The Greyhounds had six runners in the Men's 8K Open race including sophomore Brendon Ward, who ran 29:56.1, sophomore Casey Frank, who had a time of 30:43.6, junior Christian Jancsarics, who finished in 30:43.8, sophomore Liam Fitting, who had a time of 31:13.1, senior Richard Glennon, who registered a time of 31:20.0, and freshman Wyatt Poniktera, who had a time of 31:48.9
