Hounds Fall in Tight Match at Albright

READING, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's tennis squad fell to host Albright College, 5-4, in non-conference action Thursday afternoon. 

How It Happened

  • The Greyhounds won a pair of doubles contests to take a 2-1 lead. Freshmen Ali Bender and Leah Zolotareva teamed up for an 8-7 (7-5) triumph at first doubles while freshman Sydney Shifman and senior Emily Masters posted an 8-7 (7-5) win at third doubles
  • The Lions countered with four wins in singles action to clinch the match. The squads played single pro-set games in singles with both the men and women playing at the same time and no lights on Albright's courts. Moravian's two wins singles game from Bender at third singles by an 8-5 score and Shifman at fourth singles at 8-4
