TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University freshman Leah Zolotareva has been selected as the Landmark Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Zolotareva, who earned her third Landmark Conference honor of the season and the second of the spring, earned a pair of hard-fought victories at first singles during a 2-0 week for the Greyhounds. She rallied for a 1-6, 6-2, 10-8 versus Penn State Abington on Saturday, and Zolotareva had a 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-3) victory at Penn State Brandywine on Sunday.

"Leah had two back-to-back outstanding performances in singles play this past weekend," stated Director of Tennis Mariana Freitas. "She faced two quality opponents and was able to make adjustments throughout the match in order to get the wins."

The Hounds, who are 8-2 on the season, are slated to return to action on Thursday, March 21 when the squad hosts Bryn Mawr College in a non-conference match beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Hoffman Courts.
