Sinnig Named to Centennial Conference Weekly Honor Roll

LANCASTER, Pa. --- Junior defensive back Ricky Sinnig of the Moravian College football team has been named to the Centennial Conference Weekly Football Honor Roll for his performance in Saturday's game versus Johns Hopkins University.

Sinnig, one of the Greyhounds' captains this season and a second-year starter in the defensive backfield, made a game-high 15 tackles against the Blue Jays that included ten solo stops, and he made 12 of his tackles during the first half of the game. Sinnig also added a pair of pass break-ups in the game, hitting two Johns Hopkins wide receivers at the same time as the ball arrived to dislodge the ball. Sinnig leads the Greyhounds with five passes defended this season, and he is second on the squad with 33 tackles through three games.

Moravian is slated to return to action on Saturday, September 28 in a Centennial Conference game at Dickinson College with kickoff set for 1:00 p.m. in Carlisle.
