Bracken & Negron Named to Centennial Conference Weekly Football Honor Roll

LANCASTER, Pa. --- Junior linebacker Kevin Bracken and freshman running back Chris Negron of the Moravian College football team have been named to the Centennial Conference Weekly Football Honor Roll for their performance in the Greyhounds' game versus Ursinus College Saturday at Rocco Calvo Field.

Bracken led the Moravian defense with game-high 15 tackles including five solo stops and a tackle for loss, and he had an interception in the third quarter he returned 12 yards to set up a Greyhound touchdown. Bracken missed part of the fourth quarter after suffering an injury but was on the field late in the game to help force a punt that gave the Greyhounds a chance to tie the game.

Negron had a career high 164 yards on the ground on just nine carries that included touchdown runs of 29 and 50 yards, the latter pulling the Greyhounds within eight points, 52-44, late in the fourth quarter. Negron also had one pass reception for 54 yards, and he added a kickoff return of 19 yards and a punt return of a yard for 238 all-purpose yards in the game on just 12 touches of the football.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, October 19 in a Centennial Conference game at Susquehanna University kicking off at 1:00 p.m.
