Hounds Finish Fall Season at F&M Invitational

LANCASTER, Pa. --- The Moravian College golf team closed out the fall portion of its 2015-16 fall schedule by placing 10th of 19 teams at the Franklin & Marshall College Fall Invitational played at the Bent Creek Country Club Monday.

The Greyhounds tied Lebanon Valley College with a 316 team score, and the Hounds were just five strokes away from finishing in fourth. The host Diplomats won the tournament with a team score of 294.

Sophomore Tyler Smith led the Blue and Grey with a six-over par round of 77 on Monday as he tied for 22nd of the 94 golfers in the tournament. Senior Jim Maru was tied for 29th with a 78 while junior Dan Leppert was tied for 41st with an 80. Junior Anthony Beltrami fired an 81 to finish in a tie for 52nd while senior Evan Dickinson finished in a tie for 64th with an 84.

The Greyhounds will return to action in early April as the team prepares for the third and fourth rounds of the 2015-16 Empire 8 Conference Championships at the Hershey Country Club on April 16-17.
