ROCHESTER, N.Y. --- Moravian College junior Dan Leppert has been named the Empire 8 Conference Men's Golf Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.

Leppert earned medalist honors with an even par round of 72 to help the Greyhounds win the Moravian Invitational with a team score of 291. Leppert was one of three individuals to shoot 72 in the round last Tuesday, and he ended up as the medalist on the fourth USGA recommended tiebreaker, which is the score on the final hole after comparing scores on the back 9, the last six holes and last three holes. Leppert had two birdies and 14 pars during his career-best round.

"I am very proud of Dan, he just keeps working hard and it finally showed in the results,: stated Head Coach Kevin Edwards. "The team is really looking forward to conferences this weekend."

Moravian is scheduled to return to action in the final two rounds of the 2015-16 Empire 8 Conference Championships this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, April 16-17 at the Hershey Country Club. The Greyhounds
