ROCHESTER, N.Y. --- Moravian College senior Jim Maru has been selected as this week's Empire 8 Conference Men's Golf Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.
Maru helped the Greyhounds to a pair of victories last week at the Lebanon Valley College Dutchman Invitational and the Susquehanna University Spring Invitational as Maru averaged 74.0 strokes per round. He earned medalist honors with a two-over par 74 to capture the Dutchmen Invitational at the Lebanon Country Club last Monday, and Maru had a four-over par 74 to finish as the runner-up at Susquehanna on the Selinsgrove Valley Country Club.
"Jim has been playing well all season and had a very solid week finishing 1st and 2nd individually," commented Head Coach Kevin Edwards.
The Greyhounds are slated to host the annual Moravian Spring Invitational on Tuesday, April 5 at the Woodstone Country Club beginning at 1:00 p.m. in Danielsville.
