ROCHESTER, N.Y. --- Moravian College sophomore Kevin Kunkle has been named the Empire 8 Conference Men's Golf Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.

Kunkle earned medalist honors with a round of 71 at the Dickinson College Invitational last Wednesday as the Greyhounds opened their 2016 spring season. The Hounds finished second in the event. Kunkle's one-over par round was tied for the lowest in the tournament but won medalist honors on the tiebreaker of cards that went to the second handicap hole.

"It was great to see Kevin come out after the winter and start with a very solid round," said Head Coach Kevin Edwards. "Hopefully this will build some momentum for him and the rest of the team going forward this spring."

The Hounds are back on the course on Monday, March 28 as they compete in the Lebanon Valley College Invitational at the Lebanon Country Club.
