Hounds Turn in Season-Best Times at Paul Short Run

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's cross country team headed across South Mountain to compete in the 41st Annual Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University Saturday on the Goodman Campus.

The Greyhounds finished 37th of 40 in the men's Brown race with a score of 990. Senior Alec Duncan paced the squad with a Hounds with an 8,000-meter time of 26:00 to place 57th of the 341 runners in the race. Duncan improved his season-best time in the distance by 1:21. Fellow senior Dillon Farrell did not finish the race.

Four other Greyhounds had season-best times on Saturday with junior Jeremy Rigotti turning in a 27:30 and freshman Josh Toth also breaking the 28:00 barrier at 27:59.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, October 11 in the Landmark Conference Preview Meet being hosted by Goucher College on the course that will be used next month for the 2014 Landmark Conference Championships.
