Moravian Men Place 4th at Landmark Championships

TOWSON, Md. --- The Moravian College men's cross country team ran to fourth place of eight squads at the 2014 Landmark Conference Championships hosted by Goucher College Saturday morning.

The Hounds finished with a team total of 99 points while first-year Landmark member Elizabethtown College won the men's title with 32 points. Individually for the Greyhounds, senior Dillon Farrell, the two-time defending individual champion, placed second in the race in a time of 26:31.06 on the 8,000-meter course, earning All-Conference First Team honors for the third straight year.

Senior Alec Duncan placed sixth among the 79 competitors in a time of 27:07.83 to garner a spot on the Landmark All-Conference First Team for the fourth consecutive fall. Junior Jeremy Rigotti finished 28th in the meet in 28:47.36 while freshman Robert Cahill took 39th in a time of 29:19.62. Freshman Austin Stetler was one spot behind Cahill in 29:22.33 while sophomore Cory Taggert finished in 45th in a time of 29:34.84.

Rounding out the men's squad were junior Maxwell Korten in 56th place, freshman Mike Kopach in 61st, freshman Josh Toth in 71st place, senior Corey Schauerman at 76th and freshman Zimra Winters in 77th.

 After a week off, the Greyhounds are slated to return to action on Saturday, November 15 in the 2014 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional to be hosted by Dickinson College at Big Spring High School.
