BRYN MAWR, Pa. – The Moravian College women's soccer team dominated possession and shots on Saturday afternoon at Bryn Mawr College, but failed to convert a goal as the Owls took a scoreless draw into overtime and scored the golden goal in the 92nd minute to defeat the Greyhounds.

Moravian (6-9-2) outshot Bryn Mawr 10-4 and held a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks in the non-conference matchup, but the Owls held their ground and took the Greyhounds to overtime after the Moravian defense also held their opponent scoreless through 90 minutes.

Sophomore goalkeeper Jacqueline Zalis turned in a clean sheet in the first half between the pipes, making one save. Senior keeper Genevieve Chaleff also played a shutout half in the second, but took the loss after allowing the game-winner in overtime.

Junior forward Kirsten Schall set the tone for the day that saw Moravian dominate the scoring chances at Bryn Mawr. The striker took three consecutive corner kicks in the game's opening six minutes, then took a shot that was denied by the Owls' crossbar in the 11th minute. Schall finished with three shots in the match.

Senior midfielder Taylor DiSora and sophomore defender Marlene Lopes also added shots on goal in the first half, forcing saves from the Bryn Mawr keeper, who finished with five saves on Saturday.

Sophomore midfielder Brittany Nicoline, freshman forward Valentina Margiottiello and junior defender Kaylan Bruzzone all took shots on goal in the second half, but that elusive first goal was hard to come by against the Owls.

The Greyhounds return home to the HUB Quad for a Matte Award match with rival Muhlenberg College on Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 3:30 p.m. The women's soccer squad can give Moravian a 3-2 lead in the 2013-14 Matte Award battle with a win on Wednesday.
