Miklas Named to ECAC South All-Star Second Team

CENTERVILLE, Mass. --- Moravian College freshman defender Christine Miklas has been named to the 2013 ECAC Division III South All-Star Second Team.

Miklas, who was named to the Landmark All-Conference First Team in November, used her height and scoring ability to net six goals off of corner kicks for the Greyhounds this fall including one game-winning goal. While her goal total was the second highest on the squad, Miklas started all 20 matches on the back line and helped Moravian post six shutouts this year.

"We are thrilled that Christine has been recognized by the ECAC," stated Head Coach Brienne Smith. "She had an impressive first season, making significant contributions both as a defender and in our attack. It is fantastic to see how much she has grown and developed in the past four months alone. We have great expectations for Christine moving forward and we look forward to seeing what next season will bring."

Moravian (7-10-3) reached the Landmark Conference Tournament and the postseason for the seventh straight year this fall.
