Moravian Finishes Fourth at 2022 Landmark Conference Championship

PIKESVILLE, Md. --- The Moravian University golf squad finished fourth of eight teams at the 2022 Landmark Conference Championship hosted by Goucher College at the Woodholme Country Club on Friday and Saturday. 

How It Happened

  • The Greyhounds had a 36-hole team score of 649 with a 321 on Saturday as Moravian improved seven strokes as a team on the second day
  • Drew University won the team title with a 640 while The University of Scranton was second with a 645 and The Catholic University of America took third with a 647 

Moravian Results

  • Freshman TJ Bohl finished in a tie for second of the 40 golfers with a tournament total of 157. Bohl had the second lowest round of the tournament overall with a two-over par round of 75 on Saturday that included a trio of birdies and 10 pars. He had the lowest round by a freshman in the field to be the Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year, and Bohl will also earned a spot on the All-Conference First Team for finishing in the top six
  • Graduate student Thomas Lakata placed eighth in the championships with a 36-hole score of 162, and he carded an 83 in the second round with 10 pars. Lakata will make the Landmark All-Conference Second Team for finishing between 6th and 12th
  • Senior Will Breslin will also be on the All-Conference Second Team after finishing in a three-way tie for ninth at 163. Breslin fired an 80 on Saturday that included an eagle on par 5 12th hole, a birdie and eight pars
  • Junior Andrew Hozza was tied for 28th at 170 for the tournament, and he had an 83 in the second round that had a birdie and nine pars
  • Graduate student Nick Kuhn also finished in a tie for 28th after an 86 in the final round that included a birdie and seven pars
