Zack Takes 7th in Javelin at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. --- Senior Gary Zack of the Moravian College men's outdoor track & field team placed seventh in the College Men's Javelin Throw Championship in the Penn Relays at historic Franklin Field Saturday.

Zack's best throw of the day was 66.33 meters (217 feet, seven inches), which was seventh of the ten competitors in the event and the top non-NCAA Division I student-athlete in the flight. Andy Fahringer from the University of Virginia won the event at 74.63 meters (244 feet, ten inches).

Zack is schedule to return to action on Sunday, April 29th when Moravian hosts the second day of the 2012 Landmark Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Timothy Breidegam Track & Rocco Calvo Field beginning at 9:00 a.m.
