  • Six Hounds Selected to 2020-21 Landmark Conference Fall All-Sportsmanship Team

    TOWSON, Md. --- The Landmark Conference has named 45 student-athletes including six from Moravian College to the 2020-21 Fall All-Sportsmanship Team. The All-Sportsmanship Team includes one student-athlete from each institution for each sport and is selected by the players and coaches from their respective team.

    BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The next alum in the Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation's Get to Know Series is former women's soccer student-athlete Kirsten Schall from the Class of 2015. Schall was selected as the Landmark Conference Offensive Player of the Year in 2014 and the Co-Offensive Player of the Year in 2012 while making the Landmark All-Conference First Team in the same seasons and the Landmark All-Conference Second Team in 2013 and 2011.

    BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The next alum in the Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation's Get to Know Series is former women's soccer student-athlete Hannah LaFronz the Class of 2017. LaFronz had two goals and two assists in her career, and she was named to the Landmark Conference All-Sportsmanship Team as a senior in 2016 and was a three-time member of the Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll.

Breen has contributed seven goals and two assists in 45 career matches with the Greyhounds, and she is a three-time selection on the Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll.

    TOWSON, Md. --- The Landmark Conference announced its 2020 Fall Academic Honor Roll selections today, with 525 student-athletes receiving recognition including 59 from Moravian College. The Honor Roll recognizes all fall student-athletes who have reached sophomore standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher.

    BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The next coach in the Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation's Get to Know Coach series is Head Women's Soccer Coach Jeff Ykoruk, who is in his seventh year leading the Greyhounds. Ykoruk has a record of 46-45-9 at Moravian with a pair of Landmark Conference playoff appearances, and he has a career mark of 131-107-24 as a collegiate head coach.

    BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College honored its 2020 senior student-athletes with its Senior Athletics Award video that debuted on Sunday, August 16. Women’s basketball standout Maddie Capuano and women’s track & field/cross country runner Carly Danoski were named the Co-Outstanding Senior Female Athletes while baseball player Ian Csencsits and men’s track & field/cross country runner Greg Jaindl were honored with the Co-Outstanding Senior Male Athletes. The Blue & Grey Scholar Athlete awards were presented to Danoski and football player Sal Pagano.

  • Moravian to Air 2020 Senior Athlete Awards Video on August 16

    BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College Department of Athletics and Recreation will celebrate the accomplishments of their 2020 senior class with a virtual celebration on Sunday, August 16 with the Senior Athlete Awards show as a video beginning at 6:00 p.m. The banquet, which is typically hosted in May, was postponed because of COVID-19 and due to the continued pandemic has been moved to a virtual event.
