2021-22 Moravian women's swimming team earns CSCAA Scholar All-America Team honors

RICHMOND, Va. --- The Moravian University women's swimming team has been selected by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as a Scholar All-America Team. The women posted a GPA of 3.4 to earn the honor. In total, 728 teams from 450 colleges and universities earned the honor. Those with a GPA of 3.3 or higher will now become eligible for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standings.

"In our inaugural season, we are excited to achieve one of our core standards, academic success," stated Head Coach Mary Ellen Wydan. "Named to the highest academic honors, as a team, by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America, is an accolade measuring our first semester of academics as a priority. We are proud of our student-athletes, and they richly deserve this honor. With continued effort, we hope to remain consistently at the top of the national academic standings among swimming teams. Congratulations to the team."

The Greyhounds are in the midst of their inaugural season as a varsity program. Moravian has one regular season dual meet before the 2022 Landmark Conference Championship on February 18-20 at the Germantown Indoor Swim Center in Boyds, Maryland.

Greg Earhart, CSCAA Executive Director highlighted Moravian University's achievements noting, "Coach Wydan was a great hire this year and this is just another example of why. These five women are some of the best ambassadors that Moravian University and the Landmark Conference could ask for."
