Women's Tennis Drops Landmark Conference Match at Scranton

SCRANTON, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's tennis squad fell to the University of Scranton, 6-3, in Landmark Conference action on the road Sunday.

The Greyhounds, 7-5 overall and 3-2 in Landmark Conference play, received a point at third doubles from the tandem of senior Courtnie Lambert and sophomore Caitlin Adams that won 8-6. However, the Blue and Grey trailed 2-1 after doubles.

Lambert added a three-set win at third singles including taking the first set in a long tiebreaker while junior Aisling Doyle also won a three-set match at fifth singles for the Greyhounds. Junior Brittney Eady would force a third set at first singles before dropping her match.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, April 19 when the squad hosts NCAA Division I Lafayette College in a non-conference match beginning at 3:30 p.m. at Hoffman Courts in Bethlehem.
