Four Greyhounds Named to Landmark All-Conference Women's Tennis Teams

TOWSON, Md. --- The Moravian College women's tennis team has had four players named to the 2016 Landmark All-Conference Teams with junior Brittney Eady earning nods on the First Team in both Singles and Doubles.

Joining Eady on the First Team in Doubles was sophomore Skylar Oliwa while senior Courtnie Lambert was on Second Team in both Singles and Doubles, and sophomore Caitlin Adams made the Second Team in Doubles.

Eady, who was named to the All-Conference First Team in singles for the third straight year, was 10-6 in singles action this year including a 10-6 slate at first singles. Eady, the 2014 Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year, is 37-16 in her singles career at Moravian.

"Brittney is a fine all around tennis player," stated first-year Head Coach Alan Heverly. "She plays singles and doubles equally well and because of that she is a huge asset to our team. She displays a variety of skills and uses them to win."

Eady and Oliwa combined for an 8-2 record this season at first doubles including a 6-1 slate in Landmark Conference action after becoming a tandem midway through the season.

"Brittney and Skylar made a great doubles team because both of them would never give up," noted Heverly. "They set examples for the team with solid and skilled play in every match while playing against some very skilled teams."

Lambert posted a 10-7 record in singles action in 2015-16, and she was 9-5 at third singles. She finished her career with a 42-27 mark in singles play, and Lambert was a two-time member of the Landmark Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll and made the Landmark Spring All-Sportsmanship Team in 2015. She has been a two-year team captain

"Courtnie is a player who knows how to win," stated Heverly. "She uses her playing style and endurance to win matches in both singles and doubles. As a captain she leads the team by example: she works hard."

Lambert and Adams combined for an 11-6 doubles slate in 2015-16 including 6-1 against Landmark Conference opponents. The duo was 7-0 at third doubles and 4-4 in the second doubles slot.

"Courtnie and Caitlin used their styles and created a winning tradition in doubles," commented Heverly. "They worked hard on building skills right from the start. The team depended on them to win and they always came through."

Moravian finished its 2015-16 season with a 7-8 record.
