BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's tennis squad swept rival Muhlenberg College, 7-0, in non-conference action in Timothy Breidegam Fieldhouse Sunday.
How It Happened
- The Greyhounds captured the doubles point with victories at first and second doubles. The tandem of freshmen Nicole Kalorin and Ali Willis posted a 6-1 triumph at second doubles to open the contest while junior Izzy Szmodis and sophomore Leah Zolotareva earned a 6-2 win at first doubles
- Moravian swept the singles matches to end the contest. Szmodis captured her second singles match 6-0, 6-0 while Zolotareva won 6-0, 6-1 at first singles to clinch the winning team point. Sophomore Sydney Shifman recorded a 6-2, 6-1 triumph at third singles while Willis earned an 8-0 win at fifth singles and Kalorin won 8-3 at fourth singles
- The 7-0 sweep is the first of the spring and fourth of the season for the Blue & Grey
