BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's volleyball team is slated to begin the 2023 season on Friday and Saturday, September 1-2 with the annual Greyhound Premiere Invitational in Johnston Hall.
The Greyhounds will host Misericordia University, Centenary University, Montclair State University and Ursinus College in the tournament with one match on September 1 with Misericordia and two contests on September 2 versus Centenary and Montclair State. The Blue and Grey will then welcome Cedar Crest College to Johnston Hall for a non-conference match on Wednesday, September 6. Moravian hits the road seven straight contests starting with a non-conference contest at DeSales University on Wednesday, September 13.
The Hounds head out of the Lehigh Valley for the first time in 2023 on Friday and Saturday, September 15-16 with a trip to the Neumann University Knights Invitational where Moravian will play Stockton (N.J.) University and Widener University on Friday and Ursinus College on Saturday. The Blue and Grey then head to Gwynedd Mercy University on Thursday, September 21 and Wilson College on Saturday, September 23 for a tri-match with Albright College.
Moravian returns to Johnston Hall on Tuesday, September 26 for a non-conference contest with Penn State Harrisburg, and the Hounds conclude September with non-conference matches at Lancaster Bible College on Friday, September 29 and Bryn Mawr College on Saturday, September 30.
October begins with a non-conference matchup with Marywood University in Johnston Hall on Tuesday, October 3. The Greyhounds will then play nine straight Landmark Conference matches under a new conference format with two new schools joining the conference this fall. The Hounds begin the conference season with matches at Juniata College on Friday, October 6, Lycoming College on Saturday, October 7 and Wilkes University on Tuesday, October 10.
The Blue & Grey are set to host Drew University on Friday, October 13 and The University of Scranton on Saturday, October 14 before the final road trip of the year which takes Moravian to The Catholic University of America on Friday, October 20 and Goucher College on Saturday, October 21. The squad finishes the regular season with three matches in Johnston Hall including contests with Elizabethtown College on Friday, October 27, Susquehanna University on Saturday, October 28 and a non-conference matchup with Penn State Berks on Tuesday, October 31.
The Hounds look to qualify for the 2023 Landmark Conference Tournament that begins with the first round matchup between the fourth and fifth seeds on Tuesday, November 7, the semifinals at the top two seeds on Thursday, November 9 and the finals slated for Saturday, November 11 at the highest remaining seeds' home court.
