Moravian’s Doshi Recipient of 2023 American Volleyball Coaches Association Diversity Award

LEXINGTON, Ky. --- Moravian University Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach Raunak Doshi is one of 20 recipients of the American Volleyball Coaches Association's 2023 Diversity Award.

The AVCA Diversity Development Team, which originated in 2015, will bring the 20 honorees to the 2023 AVCA Convention in Tampa, Florida from December 13-17.

During this year's event, recipients will participate in a series of educational seminars—many of which focus on professional and personal development for coaches—and take part in additional relationship-building experiences during the Convention.

"The Diversity Awards program demonstrates the Development Team's commitment to advancing equity and inclusion in our sport as well as our community," said Nickie Sanlin, McKendree University head men's and women's volleyball coach and chair of the AVCA Diversity Development Team. "We are grateful for the contributions of many generous supporters—from universities and industry partners to individual coaches—who continue to assist with our efforts to advance the sport of volleyball."

Doshi just completed his second year on the Moravian staff in 2023, and he also serves as an assistant men's volleyball coach at Arcadia University. Doshi is originally from India but currently resides in Reading. He has coached at the high school boys and girls level since 2019 as well as a youth volleyball coach since 2017. Alongside coaching collegiate volleyball, Doshi is in his second year head coaching 18u women's club volleyball. He was a four-year high school varsity volleyball letter winner, played club volleyball in his junior and senior year of high school. Doshi played volleyball at Washington and Jefferson College as well as Millersville University.
