BRYN MAWR, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's volleyball squad won the final three sets to post a 3-1 victory in non-conference action at Bryn Mawr College Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened

  • The Hounds scored the first two points of the set, but the Owls answered with a 13-2 run to take control of the set. Bryn Mawr led 22-9 before the Blue & Grey closed within five points at 23-18. The Owls finally scored the final two points of the set to earn a 25-19 win
  • Bryn Mawr jumped out to a 5-2 lead in the second game, and the Owls led 12-8 before Moravian recorded six straight points to take the lead. The Greyhounds pushed ahead to win the set 25-22 and even the match at 1-1
  • The third set went back-and-forth with Moravian holding an 11-9 advantage before the Hounds ran off seven straight points to take control. The Blue & Grey earned a 25-16 set victory for a 2-1 lead
  • The fourth set was also back-and-forth with the Owls lead 13-12 when the Greyhounds scored 11 consecutive points, and eventually closed out the match with a 25-14 set win

Inside the Numbers

  • Junior outside hitter Jenna Deegan paced the Greyhounds with 11 kills while freshman middle blocker Payton Reuber contributed nine kills and six digs
  • Freshman outside hitter Gabbie Reigner recorded seven kills and nine digs while sophomore outside hitter Caroline Melillo added five kills
  • Senior middle blocker Autumn Marrero posted four kills and eight digs while freshman outside hitter Kelly Tempalsky had a pair of kills
  • Sophomore setter Ally Plitnick ran the Moravian offense with 21 assists to go with 11 digs, five kills and four service aces while junior setter Emily Solomon contributed five assists
  • Freshman defensive specialist Sam Love registered 15 digs, six assists and three service aces while senior defensive specialist Allie Ludlow had six digs and senior defensive specialist Kat DeYesso posted three digs
