Edwards Wins Pocono Stroke Play Championship

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College Head Golf Coach Kevin Edwards '96 captured first place in the 2013 Pocono Stroke Play Championships of the Pocono Pro-Am Golf Series last week with a five-under par, two-day score of 139.

Edwards, who in his fourth season as Moravian's head coach and is the PGA pro at Woodstone Country Club in Danielsville, shot a three-under 69 at Shawnee Country Club on Wednesday, September 4 and two-under 70 at Buck Hill Country Club on Thursday for a 36-hole total of 139. Edwards won by 7 shots over John Pillar from Woodloch Springs (146).

Dustin McCormick '06 tied for fifth in the tournament with a 149, and McCormick is the PGA Pro at Wolf Hollow at the Water Gap Country Club in the Poconos.
