Golfers to Get Back in the Swing at Gettysburg Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Moravian College golf team ended the fall portion of the 2013-14 season on a high note, finishing second of 12 teams at the Chestnut Hill College Invitational, and look to carry over the momentum when the spring slate tees off on Saturday, March 22.

The Greyhounds return to the links for the Gettysburg College Invitational at The Bridges Golf Club in Abbottstown, Pa with the tee times beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Moravian will be out to fool the competition on April 1 for its annual Moravian College Spring Invitational at Woodstone Country Club. The shotgun start is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.

Head coach Kevin Edwards has three other tournaments scheduled before his squad enters the season's major events. The Hounds will play in the York (Pa.) College Invitational at The Out Door Country Club on March 24, and will compete in the Elizabethtown College Spring Blue Jay Invitational at Hershey Country Club. Moravian finished fifth of 13 at the Blue Jays' fall tournament.

The Greyhounds will take their swings at the Alvernia University Invitational at Ledge Rock Golf Club on April 8, the final tune-up before the spring's major tournaments.

Moravian spends the weekend of April 13-14 at the Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational in Moosic, Pa.

After the first two rounds of the Empire 8 Conference Championships, contested during the fall at Yahnundasis Country Club in New Hartford, N.Y., the Greyhounds stand in sixth place out of eight teams. They will get the chance to move up the leaderboard during the third and fourth rounds, scheduled for April 18-19 back at the Hershey Country Club.
