BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's tennis team posted a 5-1 victory over visiting King's College Thursday at Hoffman Courts in the Greyhounds final non-conference match of the 2018-19 season.

The Hounds improve to 12-7 on the season with the victory. The Blue and Grey held a 2-1 lead after doubles action. The tandem of sophomores Sean Kearns and Mason Hudnall gave Moravian a 1-0 lead with an 8-3 win at third doubles. Junior Christopher Csencsits and freshman Neil Guarino made it 2-0 with an 8-6 triumph at second doubles.

The Greyhounds would win the three singles matches completed to win the contest before a light rain made the courts too slick to continue. Hudnall captured a 6-2, 6-4 win at fifth singles to make it 3-1 while senior Peter Demyan won a three-set match at first singles including a super-tiebreaker in the third set, 1-6, 6-2, 10-3, for the 4-1 team edge. Senior Isaac Schefer also won in three sets with a super-tiebreaker, 2-6, 6-2, 10-8 at second singles to clinch the match victory.

The triumph was the 101st collegiate coaching win for first year Director of Tennis Aaron Wilf, who minutes before the men ended earned his 100th victory as the women's squad also defeated King's.

Moravian will close out the 2018-19 season on Saturday, April 27 when the squad hosts Drew University in a Landmark Conference match beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Hoffman Courts as the squad celebrates Senior Day.
