Greyhound Tennis Teams Resume 2018-19 Season on March 3 in South Carolina

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's and women's tennis teams are set to being the spring portion of their 2018-19 schedules when the Greyhounds play Penn State Harrisburg on Sunday, March 3 in Hilton Head, South Carolina to kick off the three-match trip to the Spring TennisFest.

The men's team enters the spring with a 2-2 mark last fall under first-year Director of Tennis Aaron Wilf. Senior Isaac Schefer is 3-1 in singles action this season while freshmen Neil Guarino and Daniel Salimnejad are both 2-2 in singles and have combined for a 1-0 double mark. Senior Peter Demyan and sophomores Mason Hudnall and Sean Kearns each have one singles win so far in 2018-19. Kearns and Schefer are 1-0 in doubles action while Hudnall and senior Austin Grace are 1-0 in doubles play.

The women's squad is 4-0 on the year and has dropped just one point out of a possible 36 this season. Senior Kate Rennar, juniors Eiman Nazif and Lauren Steinert and sophomores Brooke Adams, Emma Angle and Mary Angle are all 4-0 in singles action, and the tandems of Nazif and Emma Angle and Steinert and Mary Angle are both 4-0 in doubles play as well. Adams and Rennar have a pair of doubles wins while sophomore Destiny George has one doubles victory

Both squads have their sights set on playing the 2019 Landmark Conference Tournaments which begin on Tuesday, April 30 for the men and Wednesday, May 1 for the women.
