BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Members of the Moravian College football, women's basketball, men's basketball, women's volleyball and field hockey teams are participating in "Project Dreamseeds" with the Bethlehem Area School District during the month of April.

"Project Dreamseeds" is an informative and entertaining after-school program that offers 4th and 5th grade students an opportunity to develop career aspirations while highlighting the importance of higher education. This initiative involves athletes from local colleges/universities and professional organizations who visit elementary schools to share their chosen courses of study as well as their employment goals. Through a question and answer session, students will gain a better understanding of different career paths. They will also enjoy engaging in physical fitness activities with the athletes. Our goal is to plant the seeds that will inspire children to have a "can do" attitude and to develop their dreams regarding future aspirations.

To kick off the program on Tuesday, April 3, seven members of the Moravian football team including juniors C.J. Billera, Anthony Dolan, Jake Hildebrand and Luke Trexler, sophomores Fran Corbett and Robbie Moyer and freshman Kevin Bracken went to Freemansburg Elementary School.  The group spoke to about 35 students about their paths to college as well as the importance of staying in school and having a positive attitude.  The student-athletes then demonstrated skills from the football field and worked in small groups with the elementary students on the skills.
