ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian University baseball team dropped a 7-1 decision at Elizabethtown College in Landmark Conference action Wednesday afternoon.
How It Happened
- The Greyhounds took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning. Freshman third baseman Troy Rabosky led off with a single while sophomore right fielder Matt Westcott and freshman second baseman Nathan Jones drew walks to load the bases. Graduate student catcher Connor Wengryn hit an RBI fielder's choice as Rabosky scored on an error
- The Blue Jays tied the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the third
- Elizabethtown scored five runs in the bottom of the fifth for a 6-1 advantage, and the Blue Jays tacked on a run in the bottom of the seventh to make it 7-1
Inside the Numbers
- Moravian had two hits in the game with singles from Rabosky and sophomore first baseman Wyatt Harrar with Rabosky scoring a run and Wengryn adding an RBI
- Freshman Cam Elicier started on the mound and went two innings with a strikeout. Sophomore Caden Ward tossed two-thirds of an inning while sophomore Ryan Grill went 1.1 innings. Senior Chris Medei faced four batters while freshman EJ Youngling, sophomore Wes Griffith, freshman Tyler Bonelli and senior Matt Snyder each tossed one inning
